Getting A Visa

American citizens can receive a visa to enter Egypt upon arrival, which will cost $25 (cash only!) and can be purchased at a special window before you head through immigration. If you book a guide in advance, they should take care of your visa ahead of time, and you’ll get to skip the line.

No Drones Here

Drones are illegal in Egypt, so do not plan on bringing one with you. They are not legal for fly and they are illegal to even bring in. Unless you want to be questioned at the airport for several hours, just leave it at home.
