Many of us in the world today struggling to get a good night’s rest. The stress of an overly competitive society, along with the pressures put on us to be successful can leave our mind racing, even when we are trying to drift off to bed. Combine that with unhealthy sleeping habits that we have, and it’s understandable why so many adults are sleep deprived. When our solutions to an issue become an issue in and of itself, then we have a major problem.
The Importance of Sleep
Sleep is important for a wide variety of reasons. It is the resource that keeps our body ticking, allowing us to recover and rebuild overnight so that we are ready for another day of work and challenges. How much sleep should you be getting, though?
Eight hours tends to be the number recited across the board. However, it’s very rare that an adult is able to get a constant eight hours of sleep every night. There are responsibilities and external factors that make such a number only a dream.
